Luciano Lamonarca Releases New Album, “The Impossible Dream”

Tenor Luciano Lamonarca premiers his new album, “The Impossible Dream,” in which he explores  American Broadway by recording two of its most internationally recognizable songs,  “Maria,” from  “West Side Story” and “The Impossible Dream” from “Man of La Mancha”. The latter was featured in the special video he created for the 1st anniversary of the United Nations Academic Impact. Click on the following link if you wish to see the video: United Academia

The album includes also the empowering song “My Way”, made famous by Frank Sinatra. In Lamonarca’s tenor version, the lyrics of the song resonate with his own life and career. Particularly poignant are the two renditions of the Ave Maria, an emotional tribute to the Virgin Mary, one by Franz Schubert and the second by Charles Gounod. In addition, he celebrates great joy with the wonderful Neapolitan Songs, “O Sole Mio” and “Core 'Ngrato."

The album ends with the aria, “Nessun Dorma," known as one of Luciano Pavarotti's favorite masterpieces.

It is important to mention the partnership between Tenor Luciano Lamonarca  and the New York Choral Society’s Mini Maestros Program. The tenor has graciously agreed to donate part of the proceeds of each song sold from now until December 31, 2012 to this project.  This program enables New York City public school students and their parents to attend to attend New York Choral Society performances at Carnegie Hall at no cost to themselves.
